Chèvre/Cheese
Black River Farmstead chèvre (French word for "goat") or cheese is made from our own pasteurized goat's milk using either
animal rennet or vegetable rennet, if requested. Our soft, spreadable chèvre is milky white and available in three flavors--dill
and garlic, herbes de provence, and plain. We also offer feta that is characteristically dry and crumbles easily. Each flavor lasts
2-3 weeks in the refrigerator and freezes very well. Our one-third and one-half pound wheels or buttons are also available in clear
containers, and bulk orders are available in 1-2 pound units.
